Change the battery and everthing is acting funny.

I just put a new battery in my 2000 S80 and now the panel that controls the a/c, heated seats, climate control, etc does not work. Also the air bag light came on. What is going on? How can I fix it? Everthing was fine before I changed the battery.

I have a similar issue. My battery completely died on me last week during vacation at night. I needed to get a jump start. Even that was difficult, the third car (tow truck) was able to help out. I used the hood connections initially, then required to go direct to the battery. Given the s80 has daytime headlight on, the drain was huge. Once I got the car started, I drove to the autostore and bought the battery, engine running the entire time. I could not make it back to the hotel, and needed to pull into a well lighted gas station. (The head lights went out, and engine started to fail) After I changed out the battery, the car worked fine, except for the SRS light was on and the interior key lock/unlock switch did not work correctly.
After a 100 miles, the door locks worked again, but the SRS (orange) light/message did not go away. The dealer told me remove the negative battery cable, turn my key to level II, then reconnect the battery. I did it, but it did not fix anything. The light is on and now the key locks are messed up again. I may buy a OBDII scanner or pay $$ the dealer to reset clear the codes. Good luck.
