My sunroof opens but does not close? any ideas. Topic is solved

760 turbo wagon, power sunroof opens but does not close. I have to use the manual screw to close it. It opens fine but when I switch it to close it wants to engage but does not. I damaged the switch when removing it. but I was wondering if there is a hand crank modification that can fit onto the assembly for power sunroofs?

I had the same problem. I replaced the motor, and greased the cable. Works fine now. The gear on the motor is of softer material than the cable runner, so it can wear out. The most difficult part was putting back the deflector without wind noise.
