The part I am referring to is the PCV check valve part number 31430866 that is located on the LHS of the engine. From what I understand, the purpose of this valve is to prevent air flow from the inlet manifold into the crankcase under boost from the turbocharger. Hence, the flow through the valve should be in the direction from engine to manifold.
However, I am finding that on my car, the flow seems to be n the opposite direction. Disconnecting the pipe at the manifold end, I can blow through it, but not suck.
Surely this is incorrect or is my understanding of this incorrect? Would appreciate it if someone could confirm.
PCV check valve flow direction. Need confirmation.
