Daytime running lights

Hi all, I'm a newbie and I have a 1998 S reg V40 1.9 td.
How do I knock off the daytime running lights?

NB I bought it cheap

From memory but i think its right...

turn ignition to pos2
switch light switch to side lights
pull main beam stalk & return key to position 0
let go of main beam stalk,

I tried the procedure, but the lights stayed on.

hmmm, i was sure that was correct, i'd just done mine ofter buying my T4

i'll check the handbook when i get ome. :oops:

it says here, put light switch in side light position
switch ignition to position 2
pull main beam lever towards you
turn light switch to pos 0

ok.
