I am getting a transplant Transmission ready to put in my V70. Does anyone have a part number and source for the "Improved Valve body?" and related rebuild parts. Thanks!

go to transtar.com and look at what they have. Sonnax is the company specializing in fixing inherent problems in auto transmissions.

Would be great to know how that goes. I am considering the same thing. My transmission works perfect until it reaches 90 degrees C in stop/go traffic. Drain/filled a few times, B4 piston upgrade done, etc.

I have repaired a couple of AW 55-50's with shifting issues with Ream Man valve bodies. (reamman.com).
I have been pleased with their product and service.
One had very harsh down shifts with occasional shift flare (servo cover and software already done) and the VB made it perfect.
The other had a delayed engagement of one of the clutches going into D (two engagement "bumps). I was doubtful VB was going to fix it but it was going to get a VB even if I overhauled the box. The VB fixed this one too.
Ream Man VB's are $450 plus shipping. They pay for return ship of core.
