I apologize if this posts twice...
I have a new to me 2006 XC70. When I turn the knob to Heat, I am getting cold air on the drivers side. This happens in defrost mode too. The air/defrost on the passenger side is warm.
Where do I start? I've seen other posts for different models saying something about a blender door... how do I get to that? Could it have something to do with the ECC module?
Thanks!

Try turning the temp knob all the way around to coldest temp, wait a minute, and then turn it all the way as far it turns to hot and waiting a minute. Then go back to the desired temp and see if it works OK.
The full temp range will make it do a calibration of sorts.

I had a similar issue with the passenger side on my car; it would fluctuate between hot and cold until the engine was at full operating temperature. I re-calibrated the climate control damper motors with my Vida/Dice and it corrected the problem.

I tried the temp knob and the problem did not change...
Can you see the blender/damper doors from inside the drivers compartment, or can you hear the motor activating? I'm not sure if the driver side is moving.
Where does one get a reliable Vida/Dice? I've seen some posts that say there are some suppliers that are selling bad equipment. I don't have a nearby Volvo dealer, and I don't want to screw anything up (too badly).

The Dice pro in my mind is the best. It is the newer model on the market and the firmware is upgradeable and it looks better and is a lot more sleek and less obtrusive with cabling etc. I personally have the old vida/dice and the newer one, both work the same for me. FYI it says Win7 Pro only, but I run it on Win 7 ultimate and it works fine.
