No heat on driver side

Post by maxi650 »

I bought a 2005 XC90 few months ago and now that it is getting colder, I just found out that there is no heat on the driver side. When I change the left temperature from cold to warm I can see (with an endoscope inside the air duct) the door moving correctly. Right (passenger) side gets plenty of heat. Any idea?

Two (2) separate issues:

1. Someone replaced the heater core and broke the linkage.
I just went through that I posted the whole DIY below, including info on the linkage arm, which is about $25 or so.

2. At this age and mileage, I'd replace the Tstat too.
I posted the DIY in forum, search for it.
