Volvo S40 2001 1.9 electrical brake pump

Post by Oreste »

Hi I have a Volvo s40 2001 1.9.... once I am going to start the car in the morning and somo other times during the day is giving problems and the brake electric pump is working continously... as per the mechanic I visit today he said that there should be a hose that could be broken causing this mal-function. Could you be kind enough to send me a PDF with the location of this pump and all the hoses I must check to see if I can solve the problem... or maybe you could share your ideas on this matter.

Best regards, many thanks in advance

There is a hose that has a check valve built into it. If that hose or valve fails, it will not hold pressure and the pump will stay on. We sell quite a few of those and keep it in stock. Need the vin number to find the right part.

Hello again
Could you give me some instructions on how to get to this hose which has the valve built in so I will be able to replace it? Thank you very much for your assistance on this matter.

Oreste
