What state??
Just as advice, don't become too attached. I've learned to walk away from cars when it was clear that they had lost utility. So unless there was a very high sentimental value it's not worth it. And to spare you a bit of sorrow, no one is going to pay 1,500 for a dead car that is readily available in running form for a bit more. Sorry, but just wanted to let you know.shellybelly wrote:nope.... wont do that as they only offer 50.00.....I just put over 500.00 in new parts this year and 600.00 last year. I need 1500.00. Also, $600 a year for parts and/or labor is not unusual for a car per year.
Consider the following maths.
* $600 year/$2.50 gallons = 240 gallons of gas you could of purchased from last year's maintenance.
240 gallons / 18 gallons/tank = 13 tanks of gas.
That's a bit over 3 months of petrol for the average American driver who does the usual 15K miles. I'm assuming you get a generous 23mpg (I have the 960) so that's about it.
What I am trying to say is don't blind yourself to previous costs. There is an effect in economics called "throwing good money after bad money http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunk_costs It's one of the reasons things came apart at the seams lately.
The past is the past, and it is time to move on. Have fun with a newer model, or buy the same model that is running. It'll cost you far less in the long run.
Many Thanks,
Bright

I had an offer for 500.00 only because he has the same car... Nope not doing it. Like I said I can part out and get my money back but it is time consuming. I am trying right now to find someone to help and split the cost with them.
