I am a complete newbie to volvos I am actually looking into buy a 01 volvo s60 at around 80k what should I tune up on the car and change granted this dealer probably did not change a thing ? it has to volvo lights on the dash that I have read about and found to be very common
POSITION LIGHT FAILURE ( tail light out?)
SERVICE REQUIRED
anything i should be worried about ? also i would like to buy all the parts myself and take it to a mechanic anyone know any good mechanics in the NYC area thank ahead of time for help guys

I am not sure about a good mechanic in NYC, but someone should know of one. As for what to look for before you buy the S60 would be the same things you would look for when buying any used car. Get service records and make sure all the maintenance is up to date. Make sure there are no accidents, that kind of stuff. One thing to keep in mind is the ETM issue that these cars seem to have. There is a subforum just for ETM issues so you may want to check it out.
