When I run my AC, about 45 min into my drive, it sounds like a flap closes somewhere inside the dash and diverts the air or blocks it from coming into the cabin (the fan seems to work harder). Once I stop and turn of the car a few minutes then resume driving, it works normally.
This car is the base model 850, so no automatic climate control.
Coincidentally, cruise control stopped working. Perhaps indicative of a vacuum leak?
PS anyone have a used but working gas flap locking mechanism for a wagon they want to sell me?

There is no vacuum whatsoever involved in either the MCC or the ECC. On a MCC you may have a damper that the clip came off of the cable, the only way to tell for sure is to remove the lower dash panels and observe the actuator arms as you rotate the mode control and the temp control.
The cruise control uses its own vacuum pump and does not rely on engine vacuum. Most of the time the problem is with the hard plastic line from the pump under the battery tray or the brake pedal switches.
