Headlight Assembly

I have a 2000 S40, and I need to take out the headlight assembly's and re-attach the alignment components (not sure what they are actually called). Basically I had this problem on my S70 and know how to fix it but I don't know how to take out the headlight assembly on the s40. Does anyone know of any directions that I can use as a guide to get these units out?

I thought I read somewhere that the front bumper needs to come off but I can't find those directions.
