Link seems to be broken, could you post some more detail please?

I haven't had much luck finding something similar or even finding the post on converting double din to a single din with a storage compartment...

I'm not sure what the dealer network is like down under but you can get adapters from a number of manufacturers.

Crutchfield is very big in the US and they may ship internationally (their Metra pocket kits suck but everything else is great)

Another supplier I use for very high quality products is Scosche industries. - http://www.scosche.com/ .

Forget the single DIN/pocket combo. It just looks like a cheap afterthought.
Go double DIN FTW! These cars are made for it. They fit very nicely.

All Harnesses have the Industry standard E.I.A color code
Professional Wire Harness for Installation of radios and stereos - Quick and Easy

Yellow is for the Memory and is always powered
Red is for the ignition, it becomes powered when you turn on your car
Orange is a dimming feature not always used
Black is the ground.
Blue and Blue with white stripe turns on your power antenna and/or you AMP
The 8 remaining wires are all for your speakers the ones with Black strips are the grounds
The white wire goes to left Front positive on Speaker
The Gray wire goes to the right Front positive on Speaker
The Green Wire connects to the Left Rear positive on Speaker
The Violet Wire Connects to the Right Rear positive on Speaker
If there are RCA wires on this they go to your amp.
Just Connect one wire at a time and you are set.
Plugs directly into your cars wiring harness to make the install quick and easy

To bench test a stereo,

*
Connect the red and the yellow wires to a 12 volt source and ground the black on the negative.
*
Your radio should turn on.
*
The last connection is the antenna
*
All new aftermarket stereos purchased have the same style antenna input
*
However some cars come equipped with a differently designed antenna end plug direct from the factory.
*
Luckily we have your solution if you need an antenna adapter, click the link below to find these.
*
Some older stereo use the antenna as a grounding point.

Long time since visit, but that's life with kids...

Thanks for filling in the blanks with the harness guys will buy from the U.S.

Just found a reasonbly well endowed single DIN by SONY (CDX-GT480U)
USB sticks are 8 gig for $20 and my phone plugs into the aux minijack (which makes dual handsfree with my wife's phone connected to the bluetooth SE kit)

Just got to decide what to setup for the kids in back, 2x 7" LCDs + mediagate MG35 or ?

Regards from Aus',

Dude...USE AN ADAPTER HARNESS.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Radio-wi ... ioQ5fVideo

10 bucks, no chopping up the wiring in a multi-thousand dollar car!
The wire colors MATCH your aftermarket stereo's!
Honestly...C'mon...

I got one of these adapters/wiring harnesses the other day. It's not working right. I have absolutely no sound coming out of the speakers. The unit powers on, and shows when ipod is playing, antenna powers on and off when I select radio tuner on the new H/U, but NO SOUND.
I must need something else? Any Ideas BEJinFbk?
