I have a 1993 Volvo 940 with a blown heater core. No access from the engine compartment. Have to replace through the dash.
Does anyone have any suggestions, hints, or directions they could post for me?
Thanks for the help.

This is the VADIS instruction:
As the new core will be empty when you get everything reconnected set the heater to full hot to allow the water to circulate through the core thus minimizing the chance of an air lock.

Hey Bill,
Thank you for the info. But the Volvo I had took a lot more work.
I wish I had taken a lot of pictures. I don't have any overviews. The Heater core Inlet and outlet went through the firewall, but the Removal had to come from the interior.
No access panel, had to disassemble the duct work.
Took a total of about 18 hours, but I finally got it out / in and working.
As always,
I appreciate the help.

Thank you for the update.
The time quoted for replacing the heater matrix is 6.3 hours. That is for an experienced mechanic so you didn't do too badly.
