Heater core blown. Help finding writeup

Heater core blown. Help finding writeup

Im having problems finding the write up for my cars heater core. Its a 2000 volvo v70xc awd v70xc awd. Been searching and keep finding stuff for other cars. If anyone can help thanks in advance.

Looks like everyone gave you the resources you need.

I'm curious what happened when your heater core blew? I've heard people swear that "a blown heater core is how 90% of these Volvos die". That terrifies me. The only sign I'm aware of is that it'll dump coolant all over the floor in the car. But that's only if the housing cracks.

What happened with yours?

Really? My cousin's car just had coolant all over the floor. It got a little warm once or twice, but never really overheated. Only way it could kill the car is if you overheat it because you're too dumb to refill the lost coolant.

To the OP, when you say other cars, do you mean completely different models? If not, the 850, S70, V70 (first generation), V70 XC (first generation), and C70 (first generation) are virtually the same car. In this case, the procedure is the same.

If anything I would suspect blown head gasket is the death of 90%. I'm not even sure how many heater cores just spontaneously give up the ghost - usually there are clues, no?
