Great car- very few problems, brother to our V70...same year- never an issue yet and going right past 80K miles on her.

Another vote for the 2.5T as a very reliable car. Passed 82,000 and no repairs, no issues, no squeaks, & still runs like a scalded ape.

I did preventively drain & flush the automatic transmission at 78K. Much as I generally trust the recommendations of the manufacturer, I won't let any automotive fluids go a lifetime without changing. I may have been born on a Monday, but I wasn't born yesterday.

+1 on the transmission flush- we did ours at 50K and then again at 80K miles- I'm trying to stay on a 30K mile flush cycle now- Make sure you use the correct JWS-3309 transmission fluid! Oh, and just basic maintenance of plugs, one torque mount bushing (at around 40K to the newer square design), the PTC valve for the PCV system and 2 sets of brake pads on the front and 1 on the back. The front rotors are starting to get a bit thin Probably should have replaced them at the "2 pads" mark) but will replace them when they start to shimmy.

Have done a few upgrades to the V70 too- and they take them well! :)
Turbo Control Valve to IPD's, IPD's heavier endlinks and sway bars, electronic folding mirrors, K&N air filter....guess that's about it.
