Wiper linkage

I'm getting the typical passenger side "thunk" from my wipers which I've been told I need to replace the wiper linkage to fix. Will the linkage from a '96 850glt fit on my '93 850glt?

I would check the conection at the hinge point and see if the lower section is hitting the hood. If so loosen the nut on the shaft apply pressure at the hinge and tighten the nut.

Already did that. It helped, but still does it.
