hi to all just thinking of possibly changing this faithfull girl for a d5 estate but just need some honest advice as to the reliability etc of this model
is the v70 version so much more complicated than the 850 as can manage most of what needs doing on this model thanks paddy k

how much would you get for letting go your 94 850?
its totally different car to V70D5, but she is still a good old girl..keep it.

D5 engine is very torquey...its about the same torque (pulling power) as the T5 (gasoline) version.

154k the engine has just woken up on that mileage. As long as its not drinking oil making nasty smells, rattles or clatters it will happily go on for another 100k.

V70 is the next generation of 850 [or it is here in the uk] more complicated but essentially the same just nicer corners small touches

154K miles is nothing as long as the car has been taken care of. I have 195K on my 850 wagon and it is still going strong. The 850 wagon and the V70 are the same car really.

hi to all who have given me advice on this thread all been taken on board and have now decided to keep this vehicle as suggested by you all
have also now just completed the old airbox overhaul but instead of using dowels in an old thread in the forum archive i just used two self tapperes straight into the butterfly flap and god what a difference this has made post lot more accelleration and more fuel consumption now average of 31 .4 per gall so now pleasure to drive many thanks again paddy k
