is the etm causing my car to have a dead pedal

in january, i had my car into volvo and they cleaned the etm and upgraded the software. on monday, i was coming home and my car had a dead gas pedal. i could go nowhere when pushing down on the gas pedal. the car then died. at this point, i sat on the side of the road and tried to start it for 5 minutes. finally starting, i went 5 miles and the same thing occured with a dead gas pedal and the car stalled out. this occured 2 more times and i got her home. the next day it would start but only for a few seconds then stall out. i replaced the fuel pump but this does not seem to help. i did have the issue with the cruise control not working.... what might the problem be??

To me, it sounds like the ETM again- the software upgrade can be long lasting but then again, it could be temporary. If you're still under warranty, get them to replace it. If not, then you might consider the alternative listed here.
