K I have a 1993 black 850 GLT stick pretty mint and very well taken care of. Now it has done this 5 times and I am stumped. Every time it snows or it rains (this is casper wy) it will stall. But only when driving through a puddle or heavy snow will it do this. This last time it did it (last night) It stalled going up a hill (its snowing out, very wet snow) and kinda spuddered. The engine check light did come on when it stalled but only when it stalled and then shut off. Now the odd thing that I noticed on this stall spree is that the speedometer and the odometer kept running after the car is sitting still and not moving!>? What could this be? It has something to do with water or something cuz only does it when its wet roads. It will restart and drive again fine if I let it sit for 10 or so min. I'm thinking computer??? ugh!! Well opinions will be helpful. I am taking it to a service dealer but outside opinions first would help keep costs down.
Thanks!

Check under the front of the car to make sure you have the plastic splash guard. It covers several important electrical connections under the intake manifold including the knock sensors and the starter.

If you checked the spark plug wires, that could certainly be the problem. My '97 has a date code on the wires, week # and year (4096) If you have the original wires, it's time for a change. The damp weather causes arcing throug weak or broken down insulation, but may not arc when the air is dry.
