V70XC 2001 Heater Problem

The climate control system (heater) blows cold air on the pasanger side contantly and warm air on the driver's side. Don't notice it when using AC. Cold comes from all three levels but slowly improves on recurulate mode. Hate to take the car to the dealer ($$$$).
