2004 xc70 heat/fan issue

My mother has recently started having trouble with the heat in her 2004 xc70. Twice in the past week, she has had no heat/ac on any fan setting, nothing comes out of the vents. The car is going to volvo tomorrow, but i just wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts.
