I have a 1993 850 and need to go to a larger vehicle. So I was looking at trading it in the dealer wants to give me $1000.00 I think thats low it has 216000 miles on it no rust, runs great, handles great, looks good. Do you think I'm being riped off, if so what should I get for it? I hate to see it go it's been the best car I ever owned.

Thanks

Generally, you're never going to get what the car's worth when you trade it in. You'd be much better selling it outright to an individual. I highly recommend you check out the NADA guide for a reference on price. If the car is in really good shape, I would expect you to get, at an extreme minimum $2000, but I've seen the '93's sell for much more as certain people like the cosmetics of it versus the later models and are willing to pay more for it.
