V70 2004 FUEL FILTER REPLACEMENT

The filter is in the tank on this one. Reading other posts I have found the access to tank in floor of cargo compartment. I understand there is another access toward front of compartment on pass side, is it under rear seat and does seat have to come out? Once I am at the tank where is the filter, and how do I get it out? Volvo dealer seemed to say dont worry about it but I would rather replace since I have 135K miles on car

VADIS is showing your filter in the same location as it is on my '02 XC. That is, below the passenger side rear seat but accessible from underneath. What you are describing sounds more like what you would do if you were intending to pull the pump/pickups.

i agree 99v70 looks like filter underneath passenger side rear,,,now i need to know how to test and or replace

Why do you need to test it? costs ~$20 for a new one just replace it.
