stran.. how many miles on the car ? You need to dig a little deeper. If you can get a fuel press. gauge check your fuel press. If it's getting spark and fuel it should try and start.
If all that checks out, then check and make sure you havent broke or stripped the timing belt.

Just because your fuel pump is making noise does not mean it is doing anything. If you have an auto salvage yard nearby you might be able to pick up a 'new' fuel pump complete with plastic housing for $10 bucks. Just be very, very gentle when popping off the 'quick' connectors from the top of your fuel pump. You can do it with two flathead screwdrivers. You don't need a special tool. But don't force things. And be very gentle popping the connectors back on.

An engine needs 3 things to run:
1) ignition
2) fuel
3) air
First, see if there are any codes stored in the engine computer. The cars will store codes even if there is no check engine light turned on.
Check for a spark from the coil - pull out a spark plug, and crank the engine and see if it sparks. If not, there are several things to check.
Next, check the fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the engine. If it's very low, this is your problem.
Let us know what you find out, and we can help further!

Agreed.
If you don't have spark => Check Crank Position Sensor and Cam Position Sensor
If you don't have fuel => Fuel pump or clogged fuel filter
If both seem ok, check for holes in the intake hoses and for major vacuum leaks. Also make sure that the injectors are firing.

Two weeks ago I had similar issue with my '94. I had fuel pressure and spake but it would not fire. It was suggested, on this forum, to put a table spoon of oil in each cylinder, put the plugs back in and it would start. This worked like a charm.....Don't ask me why as I still do not understand the logic other then a compression issue. The car has started and ran fine since then. Now I have a transmission issue I need to research...Good luck

^^^ Yes, if you have moved your car quickly and shut the engine off again, it washes all the oil away from the rings by drowning them in gas, which will cause it to have very low compression across the cylinders. This is referred to as 'lawnmower syndrome'. Putting the oil in the cylinders helps the car restore the compression it needs to start.

That was my issue. I had started the wifes car and just moved it out of the garage and parked it with out allowing it to warm up. The next day it wouldn't start. The oil was a great trick and worked like a charm. Never dreamed I would have had ring wash.
I think mine is wash too... after several trouble and finally one bad injector. Changed 5.
but still not start ! I ve just killed a new battery to try to start.
Add oil in cylinders etc. more than a spoon.
What is the solution ? try again and again and again ? kill the second battery.. ? dont want to start.
