Trunk locked. Topic is solved

Hi fellas,

I recently used my Valet key to run my 850 and now i can't seem to be able to open my trunk. i used the master to lock and unlock and even start the car but still the trunk will not open. Is there a swithc or something i need to press to re-activate it. I do hear the locking mechanism open and close so that's not the problem i guess.

The handle sometimes gets stuck and needs to be lubricated. but from what I read in your posting is that the key linkage is where the problem is use graphite on the cylinder lock and try locking and unlocking a number of times. You may need to go through the back seat and remove the trunk liner.

Had the same problem myself, the trunk is out of sync with the doors, ie doors unlocked, trunk locked and vise versa. Thats why you can here it. The local dealer cured it in seconds, I think they used both the key and remote to fix.
