S60 2.5T AWD 2006 Wheel compatability

Post by nucbird »

I am looking to up grade my S60 2.5T AWD from 16" factory wheels to 17" Volvo wheels from at 2002 S60 FWD.
Will the 2002 wheels fit? I know I need to reprogram the transmission but my concern is bolt pattern and compatibility of the wheels from a FWD to AWD S60.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you,
Nucbird

All FWD wheels will fit your car, even the ones that were on the 850 (except the 93 850). If you plus size the tire correctly, you should not even need to adjust the transmission.

To FCP or anyone with information.

If I go with 17" x 7" wheels can you tell me what size tire I can get away with and NOT need to adjust the transmission?

Thanks, any information is appreciated.

Thanks for the link.

My car has 205 65R 16 tires mounted. Per the table I can go to 205 65R 17 with only minor impact on the speedometer. Nothing was said about any impact on the transmission changes needed so I (hope) will not need to obtain the software update that I was told I might need.

Thanks again.
