VIBRATION

I OWN A '03 VOLVO XC70 WAGON....WHEN IN IDLE MODE...IT VIBRATES LIKE CRAZY...THE FRONT MOTOR MOUNT WAS CHANGED BUT THE VIBRATION IS STILL THERE...ANY CLUES?

I had a terrible vibration on my V70 about 6 months ago when the car was in reverse...I had a shop replace the upper and the two lower engine mounts which took care of the problem.

It is probably a combination of a few things. Mainly the motor mounts would cause the vibration but it could also be an idle issue. If the car is idling poorly then of course even with all new motor mounts it will vibrate more than it should. It's probably time to change all the engine mounts and make sure it is idling happy.
