S20, 2000, How do I replace my alternator?

My car has been running fine, but last night, it was dead, interior and dash lights barely on. The battery is 13 months old. I got a jump from AAA and I was able to get home. As soon as I got home it just DIED in my drive way when I put it in reverse to adjust my parking. Now, I'm not getting anything from it, no interior lights, no dash lights, ect. I'm being told that its probably my alternator. I think I might be able to do this on my own. I do a lot of my own repairs b/c the cost of car repair in Germany is RIDICULOUS! Does anyone know how I would go about doing this (detailed instructions, possibly pictures)? I plan on buying the alternator from either Autozone online or Napa online. Thanks in advance!
