ok replaced fuel injector rail regulator and injectors the other day. temp has been around 30 degrees car runs better when warmed up but still not right. cel finally came on p0130 or 131 cant remember but it said o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 so now i think maybe the wiring to the sensor could be messed up. we just had a snow storm and the roads were slushy and i hit a patch of slush and the cel came on. i know ive heard of putting ann updated harness in to prevent contamination. could this be why? what does low voltage mean? would this cause a rich or lean condition. it seems rich but research shows it could cause a lean condition. any thoughts?

Well Im back still haven't figured out why this car runs funny but it's been getting warmer so I did some more exploring and I noticed a black streak like soot on the heat shield on the firewall right where the the turbo and converter are bolted together. I wonder if there is a gasket in there that is bad and the engine is sucking air into the head when the engine is cold and when it warms up the gap somewhat closes. Is there a gasket in there? I'm thinking it needs to be changed. The car does seem a little louder than normal but not very loud. Someone hit it in the back last week and messed up the drivers side corner and took off with out leaving a note so now it looks crappy. But anyway the black streak is about an inch wide and about an inch and a half long. I'm thinking exhaust leak. I'm gonna get a gasket and change it bit first I'm gonna get under it to see if there is any cracks in the flanges.

Yep, the exhaust manifold gasket could do that. It looks like a @#$%@ to change, but try tightening up the bolts on the exhaust header and see if it solves your problems. Likewise, that could confuse your oxygen sensor too, at least until the car is warmed up.

Someone hit my roommate's car yesterday while he was at the store. He was furious. It could have affected it, though I don't know that it would have pushed it that far up. Whoever hit his broke a hanger on his exhaust and now it rattles around like crazy.

It was running bad before it got hit but it just sucks it got hit cuz it was a decent looking car and it was more valuable not hit. Luckily I had a 1993 tail light to pop in it until I get time to get to the scrapyard for a 1996 tail light. When I get a chance I'll Jack it up and get under it to check for more soot and try to tighten the turbo and manifold bolts. I have to finish welding the cat weld that broke on my turbo wagon so I can stop driving the sedan to fix it. Thanks for your help everyone. If I can help with Volvo knowledge I will post anything I know. Gotta do the timing belt on my 2000 xc70 soon. So I'll be quite busy.
