V75 T5 2001 Electrical Failure
Car was lock on driveway all day, alarm started to go off. Got alarm off car would not turn over. Hours later no power at all couldn't even open electronic locks. How do you open the rear hatch to get to the battery to see if this is the problem to start with? Also there was a strange buzzing coming from under dashboard before all power went out.

I'm not sure about your vehicle, but on mine there's a lock cylinder up by the handle where you push to open it. You have to remove a rubber plug. Put your key up in the cylinder and turn it to unlock the latch, then you can open the door as normal (hopefully).crusty wrote:Car was lock on driveway all day, alarm started to go off. OK just so I'm on the same page, this is a V70 wagon with a hatch back.
There is a black plastic covering that holds the two license plate lights and handle to open said hatch back. Would this be the where the key cylinder would be?

Yes. Here's a diagram of where it is on my car:
If you don't have that, can you open the driver's door with the key, open the hood, connect jumper cables, then unlock the tailgate with the remote?

You should see something like this behind the fuse box under the hood. Flip up the lid to expose the positive connection.
Connect the ground (negative) lead to the engine lift bracket by the alternator.
