940 Turbo 1992 Leaking water pump

I have a very slow leak in my water pump. I refill the reservoir about once a week. Can I keep this up? What sign will I get that will indicat I have to immediately replace the pump?

A large cloud of steam and, possibly, a seized engine. Do you want to risk this?

When you know you have a leaking water pump you should change it, not leave it until it all goes wrong.

Thanks. The repairs are certainly adding up.
