Pillar mounted gauges, CAI, & white face gauges pics

Post by phils94850 »

Heres some pics of a few mods ive done to the volvo :)

pic of cold air intake setup, i always hated wrestling around with the stock box. I got the CAI out of a car in the JY. Cleaned the element and installed. Im gonna paint the heat shield when the weather gets better...

Heres a pic of the white face gauge inlays i purchased from ebay. It makes a big difference when glancing at the gauges and at night..

And finally, a pic of the pillar mounted boost and afr gauges...

Very cool. I remember when white gauge backgrounds debuted with the Nissan Maxima ('89 model year?). The "Four Door Sports Car" 4DSC - remember that? Legibility is everything with the speedometer, tachometer, etc.

I like how you did the intake. It's the most direct setup I've seen. No curves, no turns, just straight through.

Thanks for sharing, Phil.
