Does anyone know where I can get a diagram or some type of schematic of the 1998 S70 GLT SAS? I'm fighting a CEL after replacing the air pump and check valve and now the dealer is saying another "check valve" in the system is clogged as well as a "vacuum elbow" is leaking.
I'm not comfortable with how the SW explained it, after several years of great service at this dealer. I'm going to call him back in the AM and have him confirm exactly what the techis saying is wrong, because I can't find where there is another check valve. Going by his tone, it's BS and he's trying not to get caught.
I hate to say, I'm glad we're selling the car although the car is great......we enjoyed having a great dealer in the past.

Thank you very much!!!!!!! This should help a lot.
I'm wondering if it's the solenoid valve that is plugged up and throwing the CEL, as well as causing the cold start howling.[/i]

Got the car back and found at leat one major part of the problem. A cracked boot on the vacuum line from the check valve to the accuator at the front of the motor. Can't believe they didn't/couldn't say, "you have a cracked connector causing a vacuum leak" instead of telling me the brand new check valve was possibly clogged and there was a vacuum leak and for $300 they'd make it all better.
Codes I think they got were 448 and 442. My thought is that with a significant vacuum leak between the accuator and check valve, the check valve couldn't operate correctly therefore how could they determine it was clogged? Argh....
