94 850 SW - DRIVER WINDOW & DOOR LOCK PROBLEMS....HELP,

I've got a 94 Volvo Station Wagon bought used 2 years ago. I have 2 problems my mechanic can't work on and I don't want to go to the dealer with ($$).

1. Driver Window stopped working. I saw another forum question about this and I got through the first step - getting the little switch box out of the console. The problem is getting into the switch box to see what's inside. And what do I clean the switches with?

2. The door locks are acting erratic. Recently the door locks started automatically locking themselves a lot. It used to only be over big bumps, but now it's sometimes when I simply close the door. When I get in the car and the doors automatically lock, I can't start the car because it also sets the automatic theft protection and the starter freezes. I need to get out of the car and use the key in the door lock and hopefully close the door without having the car automatically lock again.

Any help with either of these will be greatly appreciated!
