front license plate in 2001 S80

Just brought my s80 up to NYC from GA and NYC requires front license plates.

Dealer wanted to charge 150 to install bracket. Crazy.

Seems like there is just foam behind the plastic bumper. Any concerns here about just shallow holes?

I would go with the factory bracket. You can probably source one for a lot less from www.erievovo.com or www.vandsautodismantlers.com

Thanks, decided to just use a universal bracket (low profile) from RS Strauss.

Went on fine.
