I have a 2001 S40 that was running pretty well, but with some hesitation, which had me thinking that the Mas Airflow Sensor was faulty. When I started my car the other day to drive home from work, it started fine, but as soon as I removed my foot from the accelerator it stalled. I managed to get it home.
I bought a new MAS and replaced it, but the symptoms have not changed. Any ideas would be helpful. Is there anything that needs resetting.
Thanks

Sounds like your idle air control is going bad on you. On the throttle car will run just fine, but whenever you take your foot off the pedal, that IAC motor takes over to keep the car idling correctly. When it goes, so does your idle. Part number is 8670419 which we sell for $153.97 and the gasket you need is part number 9470027 which sells for $1.46 all good in stock. That is what I would bet on. Have a good one.
