I'm gonna have to stick with timing causing the code.
Mine was off when I bought my car and there were no noticable symptoms except for the occasional c.e.l..It didn't run rough at all.
When we finally got it figured out, It had much more power :D

I also agree the etm might be going bad, causing a surging idle. Too bad, I think you're just out of warrantee on that one.

Update, long overdue update. Exhaust cam was advanced 2 teeth. It now runs terrific. :P I have for sale the origional cvvt and coolant temp sensor. I had replaced them in error. If anyone could use them, I would be happy to ship them out.

Hello All,

I just purchased my first Volvo; I picked up a 2000 Volvo C70 Vert with 113K miles. I need to get it inspected but it has the infamous P1332 error code. After a bunch of research, I found it is the CVVT sensor. It runs great (from what I can tell, it's new to me), gas mileage averages about 21 - 24 MPG. The timing belt was done about a year ago (about 15K miles ago). I am going to pick up a Cam Adjust Solenoid for it from eeuroparts for $113.96 plus core charge. The part code is: 36002695. Does anyone know of the quality of these parts? I hate to pay $200 bucks from myvolvoparts. I also need to buy a passenger Windows Regulator for it too!! UGH.

Thanks!

If that's an OEM part, it's the same quality as it is anywhere else. Parts prices may vary quite a bit from vendor to vendor depending on what kind of overhead they put on top of their purchase price.

For the window regulator get a used one. Not something that needs to be new at all
