S40 -99 Aut Starting problem

Hi.
I have no power on the white cable to the ignition key, dashboard compleatly dead, car won't start.
If a connect a cabel directly from battery + to the ignitionkey input connector, dashboard lights up and when I turn the key and the starter works and the engine starts.
Have checked all fuses. This problem started when a used the windshield wiper (engine stopped on the road). Any ideas from someone ?
