Radio's Not Showing Numbers On Display

Hi, I own a 2000 Volvo S80.
I just bought it and have found out that the radio doesn't display numbers for radio stations.
It displays punctuation marks instead. for example: )%(!
That is what it'll display instead of the radio station call numbers.
Is there any way to fix it?
