I pulled my rubber all weather floor mats yesterday, and discovered the carpet on driver's side is wet with coolant.
The reservoir is just above min. mark.
Approx 85,000 miles.

I have the same problem with my '01 S60. Needs a new heater core.
Good luck

You may not need to replace the heater core; there are two O-rings when the coolant hoses attach to the core and these can be your culprit. I had a similar issue with my 01 with coolant leaking on driver side floor. I replaced the O-rings several years ago and have had no issues since then. The 01 heater core removal is slightly different than 850 from what I could see in link. Hope that helps! Attached is a PDF showing how these hoses attach.

I agree with tjw7676, just remember to get two new clips along with the o-rings . They are aluminum made and are kindda hard to remove them I had to cut them off when I replaced the o-rings in my s60. It's a good idea that once you remove the heather hoses in the engine compartment to put some compressed air in one of the pipes to evacuate the remaining coolant in the heater core and avoid any spill inside the car cabin.
