Resetting Maintenance Reminder Lights

Post by hammers80 »

My wife just picked up a 2005 S80 and I plan on doing my own oil changes. Does anyone know how to re-set the service light reminders? Thanks in advance.

Try this....I found it under other volvo information.....

All models for 1999 and on can be reset by putting the ignition key into position I, push in and hold the odometer reset button (use your left hand), move the ignition key to position II, when the service light begins to blink, let go of the odometer reset button. Confirm by turning your Volvo off then on again.

The above should work. I have done is several times on my 2001 S80. Make sure you are holding the odometer and not the clock reset button.

I cannot reset the routine maintenance meassage on a 2003 S80 T6 that comes up every 7500 miles. Anyone know how to reset this message?

This procedure does not work on mu UK early 2002 S802.4 Bi-Fuel model.

I was absolutely certain to use the odometer button but it does not reset.

Does anyone know how to do this for these later models?
