What if any are the benefits, other than looking great, is there to fitting silicone Turbo and Radiator pipes over the stock reinforced Rubber ones in grotty black?
Is it coloured ones look great or is there a genuine reason

Do not use a pure silicone radiator hose. You can use silicone covered radiator hoses but do not use the pure silicone ones. We had tons of trouble with heavy duty cooling systems as silicone is quite permiable and will let the water (not the glycol )evaporate through the hose. You end up with overly concentrated coolant
