Middle Seat With Booster Seat Will Not Click Back

Hi All,

I hope someone can throw some light on this but the middle seat with the booster in my XC90 was collapsed recently to carry some light cargo for my kids who are novice sailors. When I went to put the middle seat back into an upright position it wouldn't lock back into its original position and the release clamp at the back is still limp........can anyone advise on a possible remedy/solution??

I had that happen to my 3rd row seat, but it took care of itself after I refolded it flat and then opened it again a few times. If I understand these they are cable driven so it is probably not tensioning itself. Try folding it flat again, and maybe move it all the way forward before you get it all the way open, the middle row slides to different lentghs depending on if the sat back is declined or not. Maybe try opening it while you hold the latch open as well. Good luck, let us know if it works out.
