Overhead console lighted switches?

Hi.

I bought a 2001 S80 2 weeks ago. I replaced a couple lamps in my climate control unit last weekend. Aside from realizing there are 2 different sizes, all went well.

After reconnecting the battery and resetting the ECM, I noticed that the left, center, and right switches on the overhead are not illuminated. Are they supposed to be? Same goes for the homelink buttons 1,2,3. I hate fumbling around at night for light switches.

All I can tell you is that all of those functions light up on my 07'.

All right. I'm answering my own question. Yes they do illuminate, but not as bright as the dash. I guess it just wasn't dark enough to notice last time.
