headlights

I'm trying to figure out why the headlights on my 1986 240 don't turn on all of a sudden. Everything electrical in the car is functioning, I checked the fuses, and all of the other lights work, except the headlights. The other puzzling thing is that the warning light on the dash doesn't come on, so it's not even recognizing that the lights aren't on. I'm at a loss, please help!
