Hi there can some one have any idea? I have a 1998 S70. For the last couple of days when i take a sharp u turn or left /right turn I hear a creech sound from the steering. it ony lasts for a fraction of a second. At times i could hear the sound twice. There is no warning light or anything. Can it be the poer steering fluid??
Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks all for your suggestions. About applying the white grease on the wheels. I am just wondering the noise is coming from right isnside when driving though!! do you think applying grease on the wheels may fix this!!1
thanks again. FYI == Also I phoned the Volvo delaer today and explined the symptom. They told me that it will be hard even for them to diagnose... since thrre is no consistent sound... and it doesn't last for long.. any way they asked me to brong it over to check. Thanks again

It does sound like a steering stop to me also. Here is a guide to greasing the steering stops. It would also be wise to do a general check of suspension components (tie rod ends, swaybar links, control arm,) and the CV boots while you're down there.
