What the heck shall I do?
The car, (The Goose) is magnificent and I still walk away from it backward.
BUT, the dashboard has cracks in it near the windshield.
It rattles and make sharp cracking noises whilst driving.
Dealer suggests to replace at a cost of $2200+.
COMMENTS? ADVICE?
Thank you!

The cheap option, of course, is to head to a junkyard and look for a S or V70 with a black interior. The black interior is a bit hard to find, but you if you find one, it should still be in decent shape.
Mine has the black interior, and the dash is still PERFECT.
Once you fix it, USE A SUNSHADE!!!
Alternatively, there are several used part suppliers. Erie Vovo at the top of the page is one, and there's another I can't remember the name of.
ChilledMan over on Volvospeed parts out these cars all the time, you might want to ask if he's got one.
