98 v70 Base Mutli Trouble Codes

Post by Tuc28 »

I just reviewed OBD II codes. Have p0300,p0301,p0303,p0305, p1507 and p1505. I have 194,000 mi on car. Plugs, cap and rotor are only a year old. Plugs look fine all but #3, looks wet but like its fuel not oil. Just purchased new coil (waiting for shippment). Car runs rough and sounds like CAT is Clogged or something amiss in it. Going to order an IAC motor also. Any other ideas on fixes or things to check and do?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Multiple misfires on all cylinders, and the IAC valve is angry.

Before you start ordering parts, go unplug the MAF sensor and take it for a drive. Does it run any better or feel a bit peppier?

It could also be a cam or crank sensor on their way out, but usually if they are working intermittently, they will also throw a code.

Did the MAF Sensor on the way to work 10-13mi. It ran about the same, except for idle, it liked to die or stall.

It might be the coil then. Have you checked all of your air hoses?

I guess on yours, there's just one from the airbox to the throttle body - check to see if it's come loose at either end or blown a hole in it somewhere.

Just wondering b/c you say something feels like it's being held back like the cat.

The CAT rattles but could be from the motor. It feels like your driving a dump truck at times lol. Vibration at Idle then smooths out till around 2500-3200rpm.

Under?

There's a cruise control pump under the battery, and a port on the BACK of the airbox for the air thermostat flap inside.

Any chance you could get a picture for us?

It was the vac hose to open and close the gate on the bottom of the air box.
Well I have gone through and replaced the rotor, cap, wires, plugs, coil, IAC and crank sensor. The car still feels the same. Thinking of replacing the injectors and maybe fuel pump.
