Can I put freon in my car?
My air conditioner cuts on and off quite frequently. It will cool for a few minutes then the cool just seems to disappear. I have been told I need the a/ recharged but I really don' feel like spending the 80 bucks to get it done. Can I do it myself? And if so where do I put the freon?
All auto parts stores have a kit for recharge. Make sure you get one with a guage The location for connection is under a plastic cap marked MN7 its near the radiator on the passenger side. PS if you live in Canada you will have to come to the US to buy a kit

wall mart is good- you only need a hose and one can of refrigerant do not worry about over fill the pressure in the can is not too high, when the siystem is full it will not take any more refrig.Make sure the AC is runing when you do it and add SEALER to fix any small holes. Some kits came with all you need sealer hose and oil in one can.
